Pictures of iBridge retreat 2006

Here are some pictures of the last iBridge retreat up at Bukit Tinggi courtesy of Hwok Lok.

Direct translation of Bukit Tinggi is High Hill. Unfortunately, the accommodations we were at was placed at the lowlands of Bukit Tinggi, so it was still a little warm. Take a guess if the picture above is shrouded in mist or in haze.

Ever wondered what we Christians do in Christian retreats?

We meet old and new friends

We put aside the stress and demands of the world to just enjoy friendship through games.

We spend portions of the time in singing as a form of praise and worship to God and also as encouragement and reminders to each other.

We learn from invited speakers who expounded on the teachings of God.

We go out for supper together. The mamak (which is a Malay-Indian restaurant that sells inexpensive food and drinks and usually opened till the wee morning) was closed due to Raya (Muslim celebration) so we had to adjourn to one of the few Chinese restaurants.

Some people flirted. Oops! I meant, err... worked hard on developing closer friendships!! :P
