La da di da... if you ever email or chat or type any sort of message to me and the word "Christmas" happens to be in the sentence you are constructing, please :) try to avoid typing it as "xmas" to me.
I have to put in the la da di da and :) in my sentences just so it is communicated I'm not being fussy and nitpicky and overly sensitive about this. I'm not jumping down anyone's throats but when I see "xmas" a little flicker of discomfort goes off in my head.
Christmas is about Jesus CHRIST. Blot out Christ from your life in your own time and space. But do not come close to insinuating that Christ can be blocked out by an x with me. :)
