Sunday lunch

On Sunday, after service, a few of us went to Kurt & Jill's for lunch. There were lots of random knick knacks they accumulated from their travels and gifts from friends across the world. I was surprised because all the knick knacks looked random and different, and yet the way Kurt & Jill used it, it created a very unique and artistic decor in their flat.

South Korean KiCheol and his son, MinhHyeok, and Maha, a Jordanian.

When I tried taking a picture with her, HeongMin got incredibly excited

HeongMin apparently gave herself and her brother English names, Sarah and Daniel, much to their parents' amusement. The sister is actually the cheeky and outgoing one, while the brother is shy and quiet.

It took me months, but I finally got through Daniel, and when he opens up, he can be just as cheeky as his sister.

Picture taken by Sarah of her dad. He and his wife are the gentlest people around, very soft spoken and polite. And I asked him how is it that their two kids turned out to be so hyperactive and cheeky and he laughed and said he really didn't know himself!

Sarah then proceeded to take a picture of her mother, DohYong (pretty sure I spelt it wrongly), who is trying to learn English but really doesn't speak that much and she said some things in Korean which made all of us laugh, because we all knew she basically said, "Back a bit, back a bit! You're too close!"

Kurt and Paul H. Paul holding up some wooden figurine as Sarah tries to take the picture. Paul is usually a quiet and reserved person as well, but I was actually surprised that he really does adore children and does very well with them

Soon, everyone started getting really hungry while Jill was getting the chicken roasted.

And when we were finally ready to eat, boy, did we eat! The food was gooooood...

Did not help sitting beside French Frederic, who is faaaar more passionate about food than Malaysians and we kept egging each other on to eat more. He loves food so much that he has to look and smell the food before actually eating in his appreciation of food.

As Jill was dishing out the desserts, everyone was amused with the level of intense concentration the kids had in waiting for their turns
